We value our staff members at Piedmont Eye Center, and we want our patients to get to know them better! Each month, we introduce you to one of the people who keep our office going. Next in our “Meet the Staff” series is Michelle! She has been working by our side for nine years.
What is your role at Piedmont Eye Center?
I work as a scribe and technician for Dr. Gene Moss.
How long have you worked at Piedmont?
9 years.
What do you love most about your job?
Working with Dr. Gene Moss and my team, as well as interacting with the patients.
What is one thing you wish every patient knew?
How important it is to have eye exams, even if you are not noticing a problem. There is so much you can find out about your overall health with a complete dilated eye exam.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Spending time with my family and traveling.
If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one thing, what would it be?
My family, including our pets, so I would not be bored.
If money was not a concern, what would you do every day if you didn’t work?
Travel. I would love to be able to work in disaster relief.
If you could have dinner with any one person, living or dead, who would it be?
My brother Travis, who we lost in 2014.
Coke or Pepsi? Coffee or tea?
Coke, though I prefer Sprite. Sweet tea.
Do you have any words of advice to share?
Spend time with the ones you love and enjoy every moment. Time passes by so very fast.
