We value our staff members at Piedmont Eye Center, and we want our patients to get to know them better! Each month, we introduce you to one of the people who keep our office going. Next in our “Meet the Staff” series is Renee. Get to know her!
What is your role at Piedmont Eye Center?
I am a head technician on Dr. Ganser’s team. I’m also the OSHA Coordinator for PEC.
How long have you worked at Piedmont?
I have been with Piedmont Eye Center since August 1, 2009.
What do you love most about your job?
I have to say I enjoy everything about my job here at PEC. I enjoy helping the patients, letting them know that I care and try really hard to put a smile on their face. I also enjoy working with our awesome doctors and co-workers.
What is one thing you wish every patient knew?
That we care about our patients here at PEC. My motto has always been: “to treat patients like I would like to be treated when I go to a doctors office”.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one thing, what would it be?
The best book in the world! The Bible!
If money was not a concern what would you do every day if you didn’t work?
I have been working with eye doctors for 25 years and have always wanted to help patients get their glaucoma drops or after eye surgery drops in their eyes. I have seen a lot of patients that don’t have family members to help and have seen some vision damage because of this. I’d like to volunteer and help these patients.
If you could have dinner with any one person, living or dead, who would it be?
My father, who passed away suddenly in 2009.
Coffee or tea?
Coffee!
Do you have any words of advice to share?
Just to be kind to one another, make people smile and let them know how much you care for them.
