Kevin Jackson, DO is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cataract and refractive surgery. He is passionate about helping patients restore and enhance their vision through advanced surgical techniques while providing compassionate, personalized care.
Dr. Jackson earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree with honors from Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his ophthalmology residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in New York City before pursuing advanced surgical fellowship training in Atlanta, Georgia.
He specializes in modern refractive cataract surgery and offers the latest cataract lens implant options, including the PanOptix Pro™ trifocal lens, Vivity™ extended depth-of-focus lens, and the Light Adjustable Lens™ (LAL). He also performs advanced vision correction procedures, including LASIK, PRK, and EVO ICL implantation.
His journey in ophthalmology began before medical school when he worked as an ophthalmic technician, including at Piedmont Eye Center. Seeing the life-changing impact of vision-restoring surgery inspired his passion for ophthalmology and ultimately led him to become an eye surgeon. He is excited to return to Piedmont Eye Center and continue serving the patients and community that played an important role in his professional journey.
Dr. Jackson believes in taking the time to understand each patient’s goals and providing clear guidance throughout their surgical journey. Known for his attention to detail and patient-centered approach, he is committed to delivering outstanding outcomes while ensuring every patient feels comfortable and confident in their care.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Jackson enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, pickleball, and tennis.
