We value our staff members at Piedmont Eye Center, and we want our patients to get to know them better! Each month, we introduce you to one of the people who keep our office going. Next in our “Meet the Staff” series is Cherish! She is been working with us for 14 years.
What is your role at Piedmont Eye Center?
I am a technician for Dr. Vogel.
How long have you worked at Piedmont?
I have worked for Piedmont Eye Center for 14 years, I think. Time flies when you’re having fun!
What do you love most about your job?
The people I work with, our patients and knowing that we are making a difference in their lives. It makes everyday a great day!
What is one thing you wish every patient knew?
I hope every patient knows that it’s not just their eyes that matter to us at Piedmont Eye Center, but it is their entire well being and health that matter as well.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy hanging out with my husband, our friends, and our children in my free time.
If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one thing, what would it be?
If I were stranded on a desert island I’d want a Brita water filter pitcher so that I could keep myself hydrated until I am rescued! 🙂
If money was not a concern what would you do every day if you didn’t work?
If money was not a concern, I think I’d like to go back to school but I’m not sure for what. I’d like to just be able to take different classes that interest me and explore my options. I’d also like to travel and see different parts of the world. My first stop would be Ireland. I would also like to follow my favorite college football and basketball team around for an entire season for every game. (This would most likely be first on my list, if we are being honest. GO IRISH!)
If you could have dinner with any one person, living or dead, who would it be?
If I could have dinner with any one person it would be my granny Lula. I miss her everyday. I miss talking with her, telling her about the little things that happen in our lives.
Coke or Pepsi? Coffee or tea?
Coke Zero and Coffee.
Do you have any words of advice to share?
Take the time to listen to what other people are saying, you never know what you can learn from listening to the details that you don’t think are important. Just because it isn’t important to you, doesn’t mean it isn’t important to the person you are talking to.
