Next in our “Meet the Staff” series is Jennifer M! If you have had surgery at our facility, you’ve probably interacted with her.
What is your role at Piedmont Eye Center?
I am a Surgical Coordinator. I schedule patients’ procedures, injections, surgeries. I help with referrals to outside facilities when needed. I also travel to our satellite offices to help our providers with scheduling. I am a Certified Ophthalmic Technician, and I am able to fill in anywhere Piedmont Eye Center needs me.
How long have you worked at Piedmont?
I’ve worked here since November 2004.
What do you love most about your job?
I love working with patients and my co-workers on a daily basis. I am a “people person” so to be able to interact with others is a great thing!
What is one thing you wish every patient knew?
I wish they knew that every patient is important to me and that I will do all that I can to help them.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Spending time with my family and hanging out around the house.
If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one thing, what would it be?
A radio
If money was not a concern what would you do every day if you didn’t work?
I would travel
If you could have dinner with any one person, living or dead, who would it be?
My grandmother, who passed away in 1992.
Coke or Pepsi? Coffee or tea?
Neither! Dr. Pepper is my choice of soda and sweet tea!
Do you have any words of advice to share?
Live life to the fullest! Don’t take things for granted!
