We value our staff members at Piedmont Eye Center, and we want our patients to get to know them better! Each month, we introduce you to one of the people who keep our office going. Next in our “Meet the Staff” series is Teresa. Get to know her!
What is your role at Piedmont Eye Center?
I am a technician for Dr. Gene Moss, our cataract and cornea specialist. My role includes working with patients and performing tests daily.
How long have you worked at Piedmont?
I have been working for Piedmont since 2010.
What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy talking with our patients and hearing their stories.
What is one thing you wish every patient knew?
If we are ever running behind, unfortunately there is a reason and someone is most likely having a serious problem. If the roles were reversed, we would spend the extra time with that patient as well to ensure they were well cared for.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I like spending time at home, hanging out with my grandkids and traveling. I also like going to different places and trying new things.
If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring one thing, what would it be?
A radio for music, I really enjoy listening to music.
If money was not a concern, what would you do every day if you didn’t work?
If money wasn’t an issue I don’t think I would want to do the same thing everyday. I think I’d try a bunch of different things.
If you could have dinner with any one person, living or dead, who would it be?
Elvis.
Coke or Pepsi? Coffee or tea?
I have to have my 2 cups of coffee in the morning to start my day, and then maybe a Dr. Pepper later.
Do you have any words of advice to share?
For everything there is a season, and to always try to be kind to and considerate to others. You don’t know what someone is going through.
